Socket Casting Process
In our SichWirerope rigging hardware manufacturer, we can achieve an efficiency rating of 100% for our socket endings. The socketing operation is performed with Wirelock, the original cold socketing resin. It is simply the best socketing solution for safety, dependability, and unparalleled fatigue performance.
Wirelock is a cold compound that is able to curdle under normal temperatures. In comparison to the traditional zinc alloy socketing method, the use of Wirelock can effectively avoid damages made to wire ropes due to overheating. Therefore it creates safer wire rope slings with higher fatigue performance.
MAXIM Wide Body Shackle
This is a large tonnage wide body shackle. It plays an important role in daily work and is widely used in petroleum, machinery, railroad, chemical, harbor, minerals, construction, electric power, metallurgy and other industries.
Maxim shackles are made of alloy steel, with galvanized body and painted yellow plastic cross pins, and have the following features:
- Product range: forged alloy steel shackle from 7 tons to 300 tons, cast alloy steel shackle from 400 tons to 1550 tons
- Under 300 tons of shackle by 2 times the ultimate working load test, more than 400 tons of shackle by 33 times the ultimate working load test
- The breaking load of shackle under 300 tons is 5 times the ultimate working load, while the breaking load of shackle over 400 tons is 5 times the ultimate working load.

- The MAXIM shackle’s wide body construction increases the bow radius of the shackle cross-section, leading to an expansion of the rigging’s load-bearing surface area by at least 58%. Therefore, there is no need to use a sleeve ring.
