Types of Shackles
In our SichWirerope rigging hardware manufacturer, there are 3 main common types of rigging shackles available to choose from:
Anchor shackles: there are 2 styles of anchor shackles in our SichWirerope shackle manufacturer – screw pin anchor shackle, and bolt type anchor shackle.
Chain shackles: there are 2 styles of chain shackles in our SichWirerope shackle manufacturer – screw pin chain shackle, and bolt type chain shackle.
Wide body shackles: It is a type of shackle that is used to secure wide or heavy loads and is often used in industrial and commercial applications where security is paramount. Maximum proof loads are 2 and 1.33 times the working load limit(W.L.L) for 7~300 and 400~1550 tonnage shackles respectively. Minimum breaking load(M.B.L) for 7~300 and 400~1550 tonnage shackles are 5 and 4.5 times their W.L.L.

Anchor Shackle Types
An anchor shackle has a looped body with a pin or bolt that secures the two ends together. The JF Brand anchor shackles are made from carbon steel for added strength and durability. They are ideal for use with anchor lines and can be easily attached to anchor points.
There are two main types of anchor shackles in our rigging hardware manufacturer: screw pin anchor shackles and bolt type anchor shackles. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages, so it’s important to choose the right one for your needs.
Screw pin anchor shackles: they are generally more secure than bolt type anchor shackles since the pin cannot be removed without first removing the cotter pin. This makes them ideal for applications where security is a concern. However, they can be more difficult to install and remove, so they may not be the best choice for applications where frequent installation and removal are required. Bolt type anchor shackles: they are easier to install and remove than screw pin anchor shackles, making them a better choice for applications where frequent installation and removal are required. However, they are not as secure as screw pin anchor shackles, since the bolt can be removed without first removing the cotter pin. Chain Shackle vs Anchor Shackle
There are 2 styles of chain shackles in our SichWirerope shackle manufacturer – screw pin chain shackle, and bolt type chain shackle.
The difference between chain shackles and anchor shackles is:
- The anchor shackle is a type of shackle that is used to connect anchor chains to each other. The anchor shackle has a large opening at one end and a smaller opening at the other end. The large opening allows the anchor chain to be passed through it, and the smaller opening allows the anchor chain to be connected to another anchor chain.
- The chain shackle is a type of shackle that is used to connect chains to each other. The chain shackle has a small opening at one end and a large opening at the other end. The small opening allows the chain to be passed through it, and the large opening allows the chain to be connected to another chain.
Wide Body Shackles
A wide body shackle is a type of shackle that is used to secure wide or heavy loads. Unlike traditional shackles, wide body shackles have a wider body that can accommodate wider or thicker items. This makes them ideal for securing large or bulky items that would not be able to be secured with a traditional shackle.
